Targa Telematics consolidates its UK subsidiaries following the acquisition of Viasat Connect Ltd and presents Targa Viasat UK

Targa Telematics – one of the leading global players in the field of IoT and the development of digital solutions and platforms for connected mobility – announces the consolidation and rebranding of its British subsidiaries with the new name Targa Viasat UK. This integration marks a significant milestone following Targa Telematics’ acquisition of Viasat Connect Ltd in 2023, who’s own journey started over 30 years ago as Enigma Vehicle Systems, who has a long history in stolen vehicle recovery and the construction sector. The integration reinforces the group’s commitment to serving the needs of the UK market.

Targa Viasat UK, the new entity resulting from the merger of the UK companies Targa Telematics UK and Viasat Connect Ltd, will focus primarily on the British market. It will be led by Simon Keam-George as Country Manager.

The union aims to leverage the strengths and commercial, technological, and operational synergies of both companies to strengthen the group’s presence in the UK market and consolidate its leadership in fleet management, construction, OEM, SVR, rental, and rent-a-car sectors, as well as industrial, logistics, and airport sectors.

Customers of Targa Viasat UK will benefit from a wide range of innovative solutions that are continuously developed under Targa Telematics’ R&D strategy, aimed at offering the best solutions on the market. Additionally, thanks to the extensive global network and strong international presence of the group, Targa Viasat UK will offer its customers solid support for the growth and expansion of their businesses through access to major European and global markets.

“The integration is a pivotal moment for us, one that fills us with immense excitement as we look to the future,” said Simon Keam-George, Country Manager of Targa Viasat UK. “This union allows us to amplify our leadership in the UK market and broaden our offerings with an extensive range of cutting-edge technologies in global projects. Our customers stand to gain significantly from this merger as we leverage our combined strengths to become a dominant force in connected mobility solutions. We are committed to addressing the evolving challenges our customers face by consistently delivering higher quality, exceptional service, increased competitiveness, and relentless innovation.”

The operation is part of Targa Telematics’ broader international growth and expansion strategy and strengthens the Group’s position as one of the European leaders in IoT solutions for connected mobility. Following the integration, Targa Telematics grows to more than 670 employees, who thanks to their local presence in various countries and key international markets provide a comprehensive service to companies worldwide with over 3.5 million connected assets in 50 countries.
